Newcastle Yoga Space is holding weekly yoga classes for Seniors. These classes are suitable for those looking for a more gentle class and are suitable for seniors and the less agile as well as those looking to complement an active yoga practice. Chair yoga is sometimes incorporated into the classes. Seniors yoga classes are usually very relaxing and leave you feeling open and refreshed.

Chair yoga is a general term for yoga poses that can be done while sitting on a chair. These modifications make yoga accessible to people who cannot stand or lack the mobility to move easily from standing to seated to supine positions. In addition to a good stretch,chair yoga participants can also enjoy improved muscle tone, better breathing habits, stress reduction, better sleep and a greater sense of well-being
